Pre-Gamin’: Cubs at Reds (12:10 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs

The Cubs have already lost this series, so today is all about preventing the sweep and getting back to .500. I don’t have any words of wisdom for you, let’s just hope for a win, eh?

Jake Arrieta is on the mound this afternoon, though he’s coming off a real clunker in Washington (4.0 IP, 6H, 5ER). He struck out four batters in those four innings, but also walked a ridiculous six. This is just not Jake’s year.

Opposing Arrieta and the Cubs is the bad guy, Tim Adleman. Adleman has not had a good year and hasn’t been on top of his game lately. In fact, he’s allowed NINE home runs in last six games alone. So you can probably expect the Cubs to hit a lot of balls on the ground today.

Who knows – maybe we’ll be surprised.
