Well, there’s still a long way to go in this game, let alone the second half of the season, but the Chicago Cubs certainly started things exactly how you’d want them to.
After a leadoff double by Ben Zobrist and a single by Anthony Rizzo, Willson Contreras got a mistake pitch and absolutely destroyed it:

The funniest part was seeing Ben Zobrist start to casually go back to third base to tag up, and then realizing, no, no, that’s not gonna be necessary.
That shot was 109 mph off the bat, and went a whopping 440 feet.
And then Kyle Schwarber immediately sent one out to almost the exact same spot:

That was 112 off the bat, and 433 to left center for Schwarber, which is where you love seeing him blast one.
Just like that, it was a 4-0 start for the Cubs’ second half.
