After the Cubs’ 5-1 lead had shrunk to just 5-4 in the top of the 8th inning, it was looking like the 9th inning was going to be a terrifying experience.
It still could be (no jinx!), but Javy Baez took it upon himself to ensure that Wade Davis had a lot more breathing room.
Baez did it with a monster homer, and it was his 20th of the year:
