The Eugene Emeralds will have to come from behind if they are to win their second straight Northwest League title. Despite scoring five times on just three hits last night, Eugene was beaten by Vancouver and now trails in the series 0-1.
Game Two of the series is tonight in Eugene. The Emeralds will send 2017 first round pick Brendon Little to the mound. This will be the first time the lefty has faced Vancouver. In six starts and sixteen innings in the regualr season, he had an ERA over 9.00.
Regardless of what happens tonight, this best of five series will move to Canada to finish up, starting with Game Three tomorrow.
Short Season A: Eugene Emeralds
Vancouver 7, Eugene 5
With just three hits and four errors, I’m surprised Eugene made the game this close.
