Not to be overlooked in yesterday’s fun, blowout, sweep-clinching win over the Mets, Anthony Rizzo hit a milestone homer early in the game.
The blast came in the third inning, bringing the Cubs to within a run (full video here at MLB.com):

Rizzo doesn’t go oppo very often, but it looked like he really enjoyed that 401 foot blast.
The homer was Rizzo’s 32nd of the year, tying his career high – which he’s actually had twice before, in 2016 and 2014. So, with a couple weeks left in the season, Rizzo will probably set a new career high.
On the season, Rizzo is hitting his typically excellent .280/.397/.530 (139 wRC+), and his plate discipline continues to improve to Votto-like heights: Rizzo has 83 strikeouts this year, and 83 walks this year.
