Remember the greatest designated hitter in World Series history?
Well, he got a chance to play the part again tonight, with the Cubs facing the Rays in Tampa Bay. Kyle Schwarber is the team’s DH, and he got them on the board with this monster blast:
Using the designated hitter can be fun! Especially when it results in a #Schwarbomb.

Ah. Nice to have the DH, isn’t it? (I will convince you all some day … )
Schwarber absolutely crushed that one, at 114.3 mph off the bat, and 446 feet way out to right center. And the strut. My God, the strut.
That was Schwarber’s 28th homer of the year, and he seems to be heating back up at just the right time.
Bonus: the Chris Archer reaction was magnificent.
