The Cubs can’t clinch the NL Central tonight, but they can eliminate the Cardinals from NL Central contention with a win … and they can have a whole lot of fun in the process.
For example, an 8-1 lead early in the game is a lot of fun:

Javy Baez busting out the Sammy Sosa hop is also a lot of fun.
That blast was Baez’s 23rd of the year, and gave the Cubs a very sizable early cushion in this already–highlight–filled game.
It especially feels good to see the come out shredding like this after Tommy Pham took a little umbrage at Ben Zobrist’s really innocuous comments about (OBVIOUSLY) wanting to clinch in this series:
