Game One of the World Series went to the Dodgers in relatively convincing fashion, which was heartening to this Cubs fan. Sure, the bats didn’t explode on Dallas Keuchel, but the same two dang guys who beat up on the Cubs did the dirty work. Homers by Chris Taylor and Justin Turner were plenty for a dominating Clayton Kershaw and that back end of the Dodgers’ bullpen.
The Astros try to tie things up tonight behind their postseason ace, Justin Verlander. The Dodgers counter with Rich Hill, whom I can appreciate all the more as a great story when he’s not fooling the Cubs.
