Spring Training Miscellany: Be Awed By the Sound of Kris Bryant’s Bat Again on Reporting Day

Chicago Cubs

Today was the much less-heralded position player reporting day, which annually comes a handful of days after the pitchers and catchers reporting day (the one that unofficially marks the start of Spring Training). By the time this date rolls around, most of the position players are already in camp, so it kinda goes by unnoticed.

The first full-squad workout is tomorrow, though, and that’ll get some attention.

Until then, a few fun things to check out from the day …

  • I am very here for the sound of the ball coming off of Kris Bryant’s bat once again:

  • Even his teammates – professional baseball players – want to watch Kris Bryant take spring batting practice.
  • Meanwhile, I love Willson Contreras’s swing:

  • Also from Russell, I’d say he was pretty stoked to get to know Chili Davis:

  • You guyyyyyysssssssss:

  • I missed this yesterday, but I have always enjoyed it so much that I’m putting it here:

  • Cheers to you, Harry:
