Another checkpoint in the quest for the return to REAL MLB action is almost here!
Tomorrow, at this time, the Chicago Cubs will be kicking off their Cactus League schedule, heading out to Maryvale to play the Milwaukee Brewers in their first Spring Training Game. Michael Roth will get the start, a few regulars will get a couple at bats, and the results of the performances and the outcome of the game will both be treated with far too much seriousness. It’s what baseball junkies do when something so closely resembling real, competitive baseball finally returns!
If you have MLB.tv, you should be able to watch this one via the Brewers’ broadcast.
So, get your beer ready. Fire up the grill. We have only one more day to wait until the Cubs are playing a version of baseball, where you might see something like the Cubs’ right fielder throwing out a runner at first base:
