Pre-Gamin’: Cubs at Brewers (2:05 CT) – Lineup, Broadcast Info, Game Thread
You don’t know how good it feels to type those words. I’ll do it probably 150 more times before the 2018 season is over, but for today, it feels really, really good. Baseball is back. The Cubs are back. This season is going to be great. I just cannot wait.
If you have MLB.tv, you can watch this afternoon’s opening contest (because the Brewers are broadcasting it), but if not, you can obsessively follow along with MLB’s At-Bat app (where you can listen to the game), or you can listen at Cubs.com. I will also probably be putting too much stock into the three homers Kyle Schwarber is going to hit against the Brewers.
In case you missed it, we had a lineup post earlier this morning discussing more of the particulars.
Michael Roth is taking the hill for the Cubs today, as he’ll compete to be the Cubs’ sixth (or, really, seventh, after Mike Montgomery) starter, who’ll hang out in Triple-A until his number is called. Naturally, he’ll be followed by arguably his biggest competition for that role, Eddie Butler and Jen-Ho Tseng, on Saturday and Sunday.
We’re here, folks. It’s baseball season. Get excited. Your game thread is down there in the comments.
