Get ready, Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, and Alfonso Soriano. Kyle Schwarber is getting ready to join your ranks.
After stealing his third base of the Spring earlier in the game, the newly-svelte Schwarber decided to make it a 1-1 Club night by sending one deep, and showing folks that yes, he still has the power (via @Cubs):

Oh yes. I can feel it reverberating in the air, even from all the way out west. That was Schwarber’s first homer of the Spring.
For the Cubs’ home run hitters, I generally have a favorite spot where I like to see their homers go. Not for any predictive or skill reasons, mind you – I mean only the spots where I find them really fun to be hit by that particular hitter. For Anthony Rizzo, for example, I love when he really yanks one right down the right field line. For Willson Contreras, I love when he pulls it into the left field power alley.
And for Schwarber, it’s that spot right there. Just to the left field side of center. When he stays on the pitch and then just clubs it right out in front of his face. It just looks good.
