Earlier today, I went to brunch for a friends birthday, and I have to say brunch is just the best. I know it’s somewhat cliche for us millennials, but I’ll fight you if you don’t like brunch.
In any case, the whole experience reminded me of Anthony Rizzo’s “brunch” quote from last season? Do you remember that one?
“We were a little hungover in the first half, but showed up to brunch in the second half.”

That quote came on September 28th of last year, just after the Cubs clinched the NL Central for the second consecutive season. I’m currently going through our clinching celebration post right now, and boy is it bringing back good memories. The 2017 season was a rough one from start to finish, but it definitely had its moments.
And, hey, how often do the Cubs come within a handful of games of the World Series? Oh, each of the last three seasons? Well, still. Alright, that was fun, but I’m way off track. Saturdays.
The Cubs are splitting up the squad today, playing an early game against the White Sox at Sloan Park and a later one against the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch. The former will be started by Kyle Hendricks (his third of the Spring) and the latter by Luke Farrell.
And as for the lineups, it’s a split-squad “pro” day for the Cubs (whatever that means):

As you can see, there are a couple of regulars in the night game, but the afternoon contest against the Sox is clearly the headliner. Which is great news, because that one will be broadcast on TV in Chicago on WGN and on the radio at 670 The Score and WGN 720.
The night game will also be televised via MLBTV, but it’ll be the Dodgers broadcast. You can catch the audio from that one on MLB.com.
I’m gonna go get more brunch.
