WHO’S READY FOR SOME CUBS BASEBALL ON TV!?
Today, the Chicago Cubs are heading to the Arizona home of the White Sox for an afternoon contest, and it’ll be broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago and the MLB Network – you can also catch the audio on MLB.com. Woo!
Why am I so excited? Well, for one, it’s a Friday and we got to watch baseball in the afternoon – who doesn’t love that? – but for another, Yu Darvish is getting the start today! Finally, we’ll be able to get a good, long look at the Cubs $126 million man and see what it feels like to have him on the mound in Cubbie blue.
As for the lineup, Ian Happ gets yet another shot at leading off, but is playing left field in this one, with Albert Almora in center and batting fifth. Willson Contreras is behind the plate and Tommy La Stella is at second, but the rest are complimentary players …
… EXCEPT FOR YU DARVISH, did I mention that? He’s even going to bat for himself today, so this is basically must-watch Cubs TV.
Oh, and before we go, here’s an (un)friendly reminder of what happened the last time the Cubs and Sox met in Spring Training:
