I was already excited that today’s Spring Training contest against the White Sox was going to be televised, because Yu Darvish got the start and we haven’t really gotten a good look at him yet. (Analysis: he looks good.)
But now, I have another reason to be happy: a Willson Contreras rocket home run … immediately followed up a few batters later with a surprisingly massive two-run shot from Mike Freeman!
Take a look at both, via NBCSN:

Contreras lifted that one out deep to left, accounting for his third homer of the spring. He’s now hitting .368 in the Cactus League with an OPS over 1.100 – also, did you notice the bat flip? Love it.
Mike Freeman’s homer was his second of the spring. He’s not going to make the big league roster – he’ll be middle infield depth at Triple-A when the regular season starts – but he, too, has been hitting REALLY well this Spring.
