So hard to type … fingers so cold …
Today’s home opener was ultimately a bummer for the Cubs, even if it had some good moments (particularly Javy Baez going deep twice). I will have to dig in a bit more, but it certainly seemed like Tyler Chatwood had some good stuff working today, but got beat up largely by weak contact that fell in for hits.
Offensively, the Cubs struggled getting it going against Ivan Nova, and a late rally did little more than at least force the Pirates to bring in their closer. Moral victory?
Aw, man, and I just realized I accidentally cut off the Cubs’ line score when I made the EBS … eh, I’m leaving it. It took me about twice as long as usual to make thanks to my frosty hands.
