Well this is turning into a straight up homer party, isn’t it?
Just two innings after launching the fifth hardest hit home run of the 2018 season, Kyle Schwarber sent ANOTHER blast out to right. This one didn’t get out in a hurry, but it was still an extremely impressive, towering moon-shot.

That homer was Schwarber’s sixth of the season, so he’s now hitting a ridiculous .317/.431/.667 (197 wRC+) on the year. That is a top-five wRC+ in all of baseball. This is everything we hoped he could be … and then some.
But that wasn’t the end of the fun. Before I was even able to publish this post, Ian Happ connected on his third homer of the season.

That homer was Happ’s second hit of the day, which has raised his overall slash line to an above average .250/.300/.446 (105 wRC+). Happ had gotten off to a slow start, but has really turned things around lately.
The Cubs now have four homers on the day.
