Having played a couple games in Cleveland already this year – the Cubs’ first return to Progressive Field since winning the World Series there in 2016 (people forget that) – the Cubs get to host the Indians for a two-game return trip later this month.
And although it *could* be a magnificent coincidence, I tend to think the two promotional giveaways for those games cannot possibly be anything other than a troll-game-on-point moment for the Cubs
The giveaway for the first game against a team the Cubs beat with an assist from the most famous rain delay in World Series history … an umbrella:
And then today, the Cubs unveiled the shirt for ‘Star Wars’ night, which comes the next day against the Indians, and check out the quoted reference:

Famous line from the movie, sure, but when paired with lightning and the fact that the Cubs came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Indians? That’s a troll move, bro! AND I LOVE IT.
