Facing the guy with the lowest ERA in baseball but peripherals that do not support it, the Cubs managed a first inning walk (Ben Zobrist) and then a home run – not solo! – by Kris Bryant. For a split second, it was the Cubs offense doing things we expect them to do!

That thing was allegedly only left the bat at 102.4 mph, but it looked like it was fired out of a cannon. A great swing from Bryant, who got his arms extended (unlike last night’s inside shot) and yanked it. A thing of beauty.
