I’m as sick as a dog right now, but I do plan on ordering Furious Spoon and watching the Cubs beat the Marlins in short order, so not all is lost.
And if the Cubs do beat the Marlins tonight – without Yu Darvish (DL), Jason Heyward (DL), Javy Baez (injured), or Willson Contreras (just sitting) – they’ll win the series, which would feel very nice, given the week full of losing (besides last night) and day full of roster moves that led up to tonight’s game.
Jen-Ho Tseng is getting the start tonight, and he’s struggled in Triple-A this season. My guess is that he’ll have a pretty quick hook, especially with a well-rested pen. Jose Urena is starting opposite Tseng, and the Cubs tagged him for five runs on six hits and four walks on opening day, so hopefully it’s a repeat of that (minus me jumping into the lake).
Let’s go Cubs.
