It’s always fun to have old friends like Starlin Castro in town, and, as we’ve seen, it can lead to some hilarious exchanges, like when Kris Bryant tickled Castro instead of brawling yesterday.
Because of the visit, we’ve often heard about how Castro just this week hit his 100th career home run. Castro, 28, has played in just under 1200 big league games. It’s been a perfectly lovely start to his career.
But Bryant tickled him again, today launching his 100th career homer in career game 487 (@Cubs):

That homer also came on the third anniversary of Bryant’s first career homer. Pretty cool syncing there. Also, some context for how quickly he reached the century mark:
100th career home run
Kris Bryant: 487th career game
Ernie Banks: 500th career game
Billy Williams: 611th career game
Ron Santo: 708th career game#Cubs— Christopher Kamka (@ckamka) May 9, 2018
Bryant is on freaking fire of late, and he’s still got nearly an entire windy game to go.
