As of the moment of this writing – I just jinxed it, didn’t I – the Cubs and Brewers are scoreless (boom, Lorenzo Cain goes deep as I’m writing this – jinx city), and that’s thanks in large part to another great play by Jason Heyward out in right field.
He’s so good at coming in on the ball, what looks like a bloop RBI single turns into an out:

If Perez tags there, he almost certainly scores, even though Heyward did a marvelous job getting the ball to home plate as quickly as he could. Tough decision to tag or not, but it seems like the better move would have been to presume a catch, and still likely score if it drops.
