The Chicago Cubs have announced, officially, their first wave of draft signings, inking second round outfielder Brennen Davis and second round (compensatory) righty Paul Richan.
Here’s the full run-down of draft picks and signings so far, with the signed picks in bold in rounds 2, 2C, 7, 14, 21, 22, 24, 30, 31, and 32:
You can see more on the picks here, here, here, and here, and be advised that there will be many more signings coming. Davis and Artis reportedly signed for slightly above slot, while Richan reportedly signed for several hundred thousand below slot.
If you really want to get into the weeds on the draft signings, I’ll recommend the Savermetrics account and Google Doc.
