Although this game isn’t quite over yet, Javier Baez has already done more than enough for his team – he’s currently 3-4 with a triple, two doubles, and a stolen base as of me typing this sentence.
But, as usual, Baez shines brightest on the defensive side of the ball and he made an absolutely fantastic unassisted double play – what else is new? – in the top of the 8th.
Take a look at him snagging a liner from Justin Turner and beating a diving Enrique Hernandez back to the bag. It’s beautiful:

After that play, the “JAVY!” “JAVY!” chants echoed throughout the stadium. He is having himself one hell of a day and remains one of the most fun players to watch.
