Javy Baez and Willson Contreras Make HUGE Late Push in All-Star Voting, Which Ends Today

Chicago Cubs

I guess all the saber-rattling really worked! Well, and also the fact that these two guys are hot and good as heck.

Just three days ago, Javy Baez trailed Ozzie Albies by nearly 300,000 votes (and was *behind* Scooter Gennett), and now that gap is barely 100,000 votes. It sure seems like a long shot that he could close that gap in the next 12 hours, but the dude just had one of the most exciting days a player can have, so ….

And WILLSONNNNNN! After trailing Buster Posey throughout this entire voting process, Contreras has heated up like crazy, and the vote totals have reflected it. He’s got a slim lead right now to be an NL All-Star starter! And a deserved one! He, too, is coming off a huge game yesterday, so maybe that’ll help with a little bump at the last minute.

Also, the Cubs have a couple ads to help out the process, too:

You know what to do, Cubs fans.
