Woo hoo! HE DESERVES IT! AND BASEBALL FANS DESERVE IT!
The starting lineup for the NL roster in the All-Star Game just came out, and Javy Baez is right up there at the top!

That is fun and cool and exactly the kind of thing that the All-Star Game SHOULD feature. Baez is as fun and exciting as it gets in baseball, and he’ll be the first guy the world sees batting for the National League. Is he a traditional leadoff hitter? Nah. But who cares?
Can you even imagine if Javy leads things off with a bomb? Or a hustle, swim-move double? Or even just a single, that then becomes a little league homer because of shenanigans? I’m giddy.
Meanwhile, Willson Contreras bats 9th, which, hey, he’s the catcher. It’s fine. I mean, I’m excited he’s in the game, too. Maybe Baez can drive him in the second time through.
