#BNBlogathon Check-In: Hour 20
I am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 40 hours straight, until a little past MLB’s July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS, etc.), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.

News and Rumors Since the Last Check-In:
The Pirates added a closer in Keone Kela, Yu Darvish’s agent fired back at Alex Rodriguez, and the Angels sent Ian Kinsler to the Red Sox.
Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:
It had to be the approximately 7 minutes when it looked like the Cubs were getting Brad Ziegler, and then not.
Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:
Yup, I still think the Cubs are going to land a reliever in the non-elite tier. And I’m fine with that. I think they have a reasonable interest in protecting what’s left of their farm system, but I also think they cannot afford to add another reliever.
Current Beverage/Stimulant of Choice:
Some coffee from a great guy and his great wife:
YO, AWESOME PEOPLE ALERT: @Michael_Cerami and his wonderful wife Danielle just showed up (at nearly 1am) to drop me off some coffee and a cupcake, which I already started devouring! You guys kick ass! #BNBlogathon pic.twitter.com/7w3hntsIPC

Where I’m Writing:
I did a little stretch at a Mexican place around the corner, and then back to my place.
Strangest Thought Passing Through My Mind:
So, I am in a streak of getting certain movement benchmarks on my watch, and I realized at 11:55 pm that I was just short of where I needed to be. So for the next five minutes, I got up and ran back and forth in the living room as much as I could. I just hit the mark as the watch turned to 12, so I’m not sure if I got it or not. I will be very pissed if I missed it by like two seconds.

This is the craziest #BNBlogathon I’ve ever witnessed and I love it. Over $20k raised for @WishIllinois by Brett and now an amazing personal tattoo for him. Oh and Harper might be traded. https://t.co/SBBNr3CCru
