The 30-year-old catcher is coming back from a hamstring injury, but, before he went down, was hitting .297/.346/.488 (130 wRC+). If he comes back healthy in the next couple weeks and keeps hitting like that, it’s quite a bat for the Phillies to add. Pair him with Jorge Alfaro, who is excellent defensively? Very nice tandem for a possible playoff team.
Seems like, if the Nationals aren’t going to sell, they could have stood to go after Ramos.
