Yu Darvish made his second simulated start today, throwing three innings against Victor Caratini and David Bote (good luck, Yu, AMIRITE). By all accounts, it was another success, with Darvish throwing about 45 pitches. Caratini got him for a dinger, though, and Bote apparently hit a ground rule double.

Theo said Darvish "let it go" more today. If he feels good tomorrow, rehab start could be next. #Cubs

Theo on Darvish: "I think he wants it …He's going about hus business like somebody on a mission to come back and help this team."

You will note that the South Bend Cubs are home this weekend, so that would be a very logical spot for Darvish to make his first rehab start (again) if he’s ready to go in four or five days.
