If you can hit the ball 481 feet, you have a very, very special talent in this game. There are only so many players who could physically do that, let alone would have the skill to actualize it in a game.
Javy Baez is one of those players, and yet he is also so uniquely talented that he can play extremely well all over the infield when called upon. For example, he was the Cubs’ shortstop last night, and he did this:

That’s a play on which you have no margin for error – either you move immediately to the right spot and then time your snag perfectly, or it’s just a routine single that nobody thinks twice about.
As it was, it was just Javy bein’ Javy, taking away an obvious hit from a fool who probably allowed himself to be excited.
