I love watching Javy Baez homers, but I might love watching what he does AFTER the homer even more.
Sometimes, Baez runs right out of the box, because he’s thinking about turning that possible double into a triple (but the ball leaves the park). Sometimes, Baez just struts, because he knows he destroyed the ball.
And sometimes – just sometimes – he treats us to a little Sammy Sosa hop:

That’s just a beautiful job of staying on an elevated pitch (hung, but almost too high for most guys to really punish), and driving it hard the other way. That was 105.2 mph off the bat and nearly 400 feet out the opposite way. Crushed.
Bonus: it came off of Amir Garrett, who really, really hates when Javy Baez gets him. So that’s fun.
