Kris Bryant is finally so dang close to returning to the big league Cubs … I am giddy.
Today, the Cubs confirmed that Bryant (shoulder inflammation) would begin a rehab stint with the AAA Iowa Cubs tomorrow:

How long he will be there – two, three, four days – depends on how he feels facing live, in-game pitching, obviously, but clearly he felt good today against Drew Smyly with his new two-handed-finishing swing.

It looks odd to see Bryant going with the two hands, but he really likes it so far (Cubs.com): “I honestly think I feel even better. I’ve got to bring the contact point a little further back in my swing, and I feel like I’m hitting balls further. I feel like before I was only really hitting the ball with one, one and a half hands connected to the bat, and now I feel like I’m using two hands. I think this will be pretty good for me.”
We’ll see soon enough. As long as he’s healthy, the guy us going to hit. And the Cubs’ lineup could soon be ridiculous.
