The Cubs halted their losing streak at one thanks to a turnaround on offense and another great start from Kyle Hendricks.
The Professor did his usual thing, and even the inning in which he gave up a run was impressive, as he allowed three singles to open the inning, but ultimately got the next two guys to record three outs. It was just one of those good, workmanlike outings for Hendricks.
Oh, and then Jesse Chavez was a baller in relief of Hendricks. That dude has just been ridiculous.
Offensively, the Cubs got contributions up and down the lineup, and Javy Baez notched his 99th RBI on the season. But special shouts to this guy …
