It hasn’t been a great (or good) second half for Ian Happ, and his playing time has dwindled accordingly. But he still gets his licks every now and again, and it’s not like he lost his power.
Case in point tonight:

Consider where that pitch was, and how far Happ pulled it. It wasn’t crushed – it would be hard to crush that particular pitch if you’re pulling it like that – but it had plenty of distance to get out. Because Happ has plenty of power.
The homer was number 14 on the year, and Happ is currently hitting .237/.354/.413 with a 106 wRC+.
