Javy Baez Scored From First Base on a Single* FOR THE SECOND NIGHT IN A ROW (VIDEO)

Chicago Cubs

Not a half-day after lauding the ridiculous, crazy, intimidating things Javy Baez does on the bases – and not 24 hours after he did the things that justified that lauding – the guy did it again.

Sure, Baez was already off to the races when the ball was delivered, and sure the ball found a no-man’s-land in the outfield, but it’s Javy’s aggressiveness and speed that puts him in a position to score easily from first base on what was just a grounder up the middle.

El Mago.

*UPDATE: Booooooo, the hit by Rizzo was ultimately ruled a double (rather than a single with him reaching second base on the throw), so this seems a lot less sexy now. But it’s still pretty darn El Mago.
