A day after destroying a pitch to left center – which, itself, came after inadvertently destroying a bathroom – Javy Baez did it again tonight, this time to right center with a massive blast.

That was 107.4 mph off the bat, and 408 happy feet barreled out to right center. That was homer 33 on the year for Baez, and RBIs 106 and 107. He’s hitting .295/.329/.572 with a 135 wRC+.
Not to take any of the credit away from Baez for his mammoth blast, but I do want to share some of the credit with Anthony Rizzo, who ground Diamondbacks pitcher Matt Andriese into a pulp in the at bat just before Baez’s:
There’s no way that didn’t have *some* impact on Andriese as he tried to recalibrate and come at Baez on a 2-0 pitch. Well done, Javy. Well done, Anthony.
