The Cubs are probably more focused on Cole Hamels getting right after a rough start in Arizona, but I’ll be looking to see if the lefties can hold up their end of the bargain against Jameson Taillon tonight and if Kris Bryant looks good/healthy/strong.
And of course, there’s always the magic number to keep an eye on. The Cubs might not be able to clinch tonight, but if the Brewers lose, they could drop their number down to three with a win. That would bring them awfully close to the end game, which I’m sure they’ll want to reach as soon as possible for rest-related reasons.
So to that end … GO CUBS.
