The bad news is that Kris Bryant is out again tonight, but that news was expected after he took a pitch off the wrist last night.
The good news is that he’s not necessarily worse for the wear today than expected:
Update on #Cubs Kris Bryant: Maddon said his wrist is sore, but the swelling wasn't as heavy as they anticipated. He was going to check in with the trainer and then let Maddon know what he could do…even if that's pinch running to help.

What’s tough is that the Cubs have just five games left, with a team breathing down their neck in the Central. Any games played without Bryant (or without a healthy Bryant (well, as healthy as he can be with his ongoing shoulder issue)) are going to sting. So, tonight is one. And you just have to hope that the soreness he’s feeling in the wrist subsides by tomorrow.
