Begrudging NLDS Previews: Rockies at Brewers (4:07 CT), Braves at Dodgers (7:37 CT)

Chicago Cubs

Well, shoot. I guess this post makes sense to have up, so we can all follow along and chat about how awesome the Rockies are and how much the Brewers stink in one place, but it sure feels painful to type every single word.

First up, today, right-hander Anthonio Senzatela and the Colorado Rockies head to Milwaukee to face righty Brandon Woodruff and the Brewers, after both teams beat the Cubs to advance to the NLDS this week. But despite the events of the NL Wild Card Game, I cannot express my support for the Rockies enough. Kick the Brewers teeth in, guys. And if you beat them this week, I’ll even vote for Nolan Arenado (yeah, I’m even spelling his name right) in the MVP race.

After that, Mike Foltynewicz and the Atlanta Braves head to Los Angeles to face left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Dodgers. I’m fully rooting for the Braves in this one, not because I hold a particular grudge against the Dodgers – I really don’t – but because if the Cubs and Nationals don’t get to participate deep into October, I don’t want the Dodgers too either. I want all the pre-season favorites out by the end of the NLDS and we’re almost there.

Go Rockies. Go Braves. Screw the Brewers. Enjoy your night.
