Pre-Gamin’: Cubs at Rangers (3:05 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs

Well, we’re only three games into the 2019 regular season, and we’ve already got ourselves a rubber match.

Later today, Cole Hamels will try to get the Cubs their first series win of the year, after Yu Darvish and the bullpen struggled to keep things together last night. But for however upset at the pitching you are at the moment – I’ll remind you, it was just one game – it’s hard to ignore how well the offense has clicked early on. They’ve scored 18 runs through their first two games, with contributions up and down the lineup and especially from the core, which is something you just love to see.

Yesterday’s game was a bummer, there’s no doubt about that, but if baseball has one redeeming quality, it’s that there’s always another game. And here we are. Go Cubs.
