Well this is an unfortunate issue for a guy trying to harness his command, master his game mentally, and return to the big leagues:
Carl Edwards Jr going on the Triple-A injured list after scraping his right hand after a fall.

Edwards slipped on stairs and "scraped" up pitching hand trying to brace himself. It's just bad enough to put him on the AAA injured list.

The extent of the injury and how it could impact his pitching from here is impossible speculate. We’ll just have to keep tabs.
It’s fortunate that the Cubs were not in dire need of Edwards right away, but obviously he is sufficiently talented that – when he is right – he improves any bullpen. The Cubs, in that sense, would want him back as soon as possible.
