Family activities on Easter kept me occupied and almost entirely removed from the game until the 9th inning, which was a pretty trippy experience, since I was shocked to see the Cubs had allowed zero runs, and were about to win 1-0.
Then Pedro Strop gave up a bomb to … Jarrod Dyson? … who has THREE this year already? … and it was natural to sink a bit. But that’s when Javy Baez did what Javy Baez does, smacking one down the right field line and El Mago’ing himself to third base on an error out there. David Bote came up to play the hero two batters later, and it was like I got to see a roller coaster thriller of a game in a single inning!
Cubs win! Cubs take the series! Cubs get back to .500!
