Yo. That was quite an inning.
What started with Javy Baez going oppo on the first pitch of the inning wound up turning into a parade of batters that went 12 deep, and ultimately bounced Marco Gonzales from the game before he’d even finished the second inning.
Here’s how the Cubs capped things off, with Baez ripping a double down the third base line. If you’re keeping track, that’s a double and a homer in the inning for Baez … ON JUST TWO PITCHES:

The full run of hitters went like this:
Homer
Single
Bunt Single
Error

Walk
Strikeout
Walk
Sac Fly
Double
Walk
Groundout
It was a lot of fun.
