The Cubs are going for the sweep against the Cardinals tonight, and, although its early, Willson Contreras wants to be the MVP of this one.
Having already gunned down Paul Goldschmidt on the bases in the first inning, Contreras did it with the bat in the second inning, sending an oppo shot waaaay out off of Adam Wainwright:

That thing was LOUD. Tends to be the case when you hit it 106.5 mph and 419 feet.
The homer was Contreras’s 9th of the year, just one shy of his total from all of 2018. Good start to the year, eh?
