The Cubs got things back on track with a walk-off home run from Kris Bryant last night, and have a chance to guarantee a series split this evening. And that’s good news, because today has been a rough day, news-wise.
Fortunately, the Cubs have Kyle Hendricks on the mound this evening, and he’s coming off an 81-pitch complete game shutout of the St. Louis Cardinals. He also missed the Marlins the last time around, so they shouldn’t be too familiar with his offerings/plan.
Standing opposite Hendricks tonight is Jose Urena, whom the Cubs last faced on May 8th, 2018 (5.1 IP, 7H, 3ER, 0BB, 6Ks) and Opening Day, 2018 (4.0 IP, 6H, 5ER, 4BB, 2Ks). Clearly they’ve gotten to him before, let’s see if they can do it again.
And before the rain! Go Cubs.
