Should the Cubs be situated for a four-game sweep of the Marlins right now? Eh, probably. But given that the two wins they have secured required walk-off home runs, I’m happy they can still take three out of four. Not that it’ll be easy.
Yu Darvish, starting for the Cubs today, is coming off a supremely rough start against the Cardinals, wherein he allowed 5 earned runs on 6 hits and 5 walks, all while recording just four strikeouts. He had a nice(ish) start just before that in Arizona, but he has just not put together a top-to-bottom good start yet.
I’d very much like to see it today. Go Cubs.
