Well, sir. This is absolutely thrilling, but also downright terrifying:
Barring any weather-related or other alterations, it’s lined up for Arrieta vs. Darvish on Monday night at Wrigley Field

I still have plenty of love for Jake Arrieta, so it’s not like you’ll hear a cross word from me on him. But I’m definitely not looking forward to seeing Arrieta get raucous cheers as the visitor, while home starter Yu Darvish is booed mercilessly the first time he throws a ball.
… but, for the drama, I’m very excited that I’ll be at that game.
It would certainly help if Darvish not only pitches well in that game, obviously, but also if maybe he puts together a solid outing this week in Cincinnati. Neither pitcher has been dominant since their free agencies crossed paths, but, sigh, it’s not hard to know which pitcher is which in Michael’s tweet:
I see that Darvish & Arrieta will face each other on Monday, so I thought I'd torture myself a bit.
Stats since signing last offseason:
39 Gs (222.2 IP): 3.92 ERA, 4.37 FIP; 2.37 K/BB
16 Gs (76.2 IP): 5.17 ERA, 5.64 FIP; 1.72 K/BB
I'm, uh, not sure what I was expecting. pic.twitter.com/mQdyGuM0GZ
