Flashing back to Jake Arrieta’s starting return to Wrigley Field after signing with the Phillies, from May 2019:
Although Jake Arrieta was not on the Chicago Cubs last season, tonight actually marks his first start back in Chicago and against the Cubs since he made all that history with the team back between 2015-2017.
And when he stepped up to the plate before his first at bat in the top of the third, the Wrigley Field faithful let him know they remember everything he did for this team and city.
And with a little tip of his helmet, Jake Arrieta returned the love.
👏👏👏

What an awesome moment.
Oh, and then Yu Darvish struck him out, which is neat.
