Just as Bryan wrote hopefully this morning, AAA Iowa reliever Rowan Wick may be getting his shot in the big league bullpen. He’s currently at Wrigley Field, at least by the looks of his Instagram Story.
Looks like the #Cubs have promoted Rowan Wick. He’s at Wrigley Field now, according to his Instagram.

Wick, 26, got a full treatment from Bryan this morning, so if you want to know much more about him, that’s your spot. The short version? A late-coming pitcher whom the Cubs traded for this past offseason, and who is dominating at Iowa.
Wick is already on the 40-man roster, so he can be called up without issue on that front. Now it’s just a question of what the corresponding roster move will be. Could be a Carl Edwards Jr. or Kyle Ryan option to Iowa, or could be the Cubs cutting bait on someone like Xavier Cedeño. Or, as always, it could be an injury we don’t yet know about.
INSTANT UPDATE:
The #Cubs today placed LHP Xavier Cedeño on the 10-day IL with left wrist inflammation and recalled RHP Rowan Wick from @IowaCubs. pic.twitter.com/f8swXQzT6V

Cedeño has really struggled since he finally made his debut, which came after a long absence thanks to a Spring Training wrist issue. Apparently it has not yet full abated.
