The Cubs dropped the first of four against a tough Dodgers lefty, Clayton Kershaw, late last night, but have a chance to redeem themselves with another late one against a Dodgers lefty, Rich Hill, tonight. Here’s the Cubs lineup for Game 2 in Los Angeles.
Chicago Cubs Lineup:
- Kyle Schwarber, LF
- Kris Bryant, 3B
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B
- Javy Baez, SS
- Willson Contreras, C
- Albert Almora Jr. CF
- Jason Heyward, RF
- Kyle Hendricks, P
- Addison Russell, 2B
The Cubs are rolling with a pretty straight-forward lineup against Rich Hill and the Dodgers tonight. The top of the order (1-5) are all in their usual spots, and the only real day-to-day variables are Jason Heyward in right, Albert Almora Jr. in center and Addison Russell at second base. That leaves Victor Caratini, Carlos Gonzalez, David Bote, and Daniel Descalso on the bench.
Beyond that, Joe Maddon continues to bat the pitcher eighth and that’s about it!
It’s another late one tonight, but we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ post closer to game time (9:10 CT).
